Description: Reportedly American, made 1950s, further details of origin unknown, a galloping wood horse, 26"h x 48"l x 9"w, mounted on a metal poll soldered to 4-wheeled "X"-base, 54"h from floor to top of poll. Vertical pole is not detachable from base. The item consists of the horse and stand. Horse's head is lowered, ears erect, mouth open, hand-painted, simulated black saddle over blue blanket with scrollwork in corners, over larger red blanket with similar scrollwork, black bridle with white serpentines, red/pinkish body, black tail, metal clips intact where leather straps for stirrups once hung.
