After treating a Monmouth rebel against King James II in 1680s England, a young Irish doctor (Errol Flynn) is exiled as a slave to Jamaica where he captures a Spanish galleon and becomes the most feared pirate in the Caribbean. This poster is from the movie's re-release in Belgium in the early 1950s. It is in very nice, partially trimmed condition on linen and features striking artwork by renowned Belgian movie poster artist WIK that is unique to this Belgian release movie poster. DESCRIPTION: Capt. Blood (1935) - Warner Bros., Directed by Michael CurtizCOUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium 14.25" x 18.5"; 15.75" x 20.25"(on linen)CONDITION: Good to Very Good Trimmed Condition on Linen. Prior to being backed on linen, the poster was folded, and the top white border was partially trimmed. There were also a number of minor tears in the surrounding border edges. There may be some slight yellowing to the paper, though the overall background color is intended to be tannish rather than white. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. This poster has been stored flat for the past 22 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
