Description: CAPTAIN AMERICA COMIC PEWTER CHARACTER COIN MEDAL MARVEL JACK KIRBY '99 HM LOT 2 Up for your consideration are these: LOT of 2 - - super rare limited edition Marvel Comics commemorative solid pewter medallion/coin of Captain America. I was told these coins (and other assorted collectibles) were part of a promotional package from the late 90's. The tiny "HM" to the right of the serial number stands for Highland Mint, (the actual maker of the coin). If anyone knows anything more about these we would very much appreciate an email. The serial numbers stamped into the back of these particular coins are "1296 & 1298". IT FEATURES: Captain America on the front along with Jack Kirby (the artist) signature above to the right. On the back it has a short bio on C.A. and at the bottom a serial number, and to the right of that there is a "HM". HISTORY: I got a small group of these as a single lot several years ago at an estate sale. NOTE; This listing is for the serial numbers "1296 & 1298". SIZE: Each Coin in Case measures about an 1/8" thick x about 1-1/2" in diameter. The outer edge is striated. MATERIAL: Pure solid pewter. Upon close inspection some very minor signs of use or wear, but no serious flaws. Obviously used but kept in great conditional and well cared for. Expected normal signs of wear but no abuse.
