Description: For sale is an ANTIQUE 18th to early 19th century early American wooden carriage foot warmer box. It is used by early travelers to warm their frozen feet when traveling in bitter cold New England winter weather. This particular one has beautiful folky heart design on 4 sides. It is complete with the original wrought iron handle and the inner metal tray. Dark fine wood with all original surface and amazing patina. A genuine piece of colonial American life! It measures approximately 9” wide, 7” deep and 6” tall. The box is in great antique condition. The trap door works properly and has no damage.
