For pierced ears, the earrings have a 3.1cm drop measured from the top the hooks, the carnelian gemstone beads measure 12mm. These are beautiful quality, natural carnelian gemstones. Gold filled jewellery, also known as "rolled gold" or "rolled gold plate" is composed of a solid layer of gold, bonded with heat & pressure to a base metal and is over 50 times thicker than gold plate, the gold in these earrings is 14 carat. Gold-filled items, even with daily wear, can last five to 30 years and give the appearance of solid gold. My pieces are made from sterling silver, Swarovski crystal, semi precious stones and a mix of vintage beads that I have collected over the years. These beads are in excellent vintage condition, I do not use beads with any major flaws. They do have a history and therefore may have a tiny flea bite or scratch but this just shows that they have been worn and loved. All my designs are individually hand-crafted and due to the inclusion of vintage beads they cannot be mass produced and will sometimes be totally unique, you will not see anyone else wearing the same piece.
