Description: Available here is a very unique baseball-themed LP: "The Crowning Episode", released in 1980 by Fleetwood (FCLP 3119). This LP was released on the heels of the Royals 1980 American League championship season (which concluded with a 3-0 series victory over the New York Yankees; the Royals lost to the Phillies in the World Series), and includes recorded highlights of that season. Elite players such as George Brett, Willie Wilson, Hal McRae, Dennis Leonard, John Wathan, Dan Quisenberry, and more were members of this legendary team. Jim Frey was the first-year manager, and Joe Burke the GM. George Brett had a season for the ages, hitting .390 and winning the American League Most Valuable Player award.
