Description: Bank of the Philippine Islands, 10 Pesos Note, 1928 Issue, with a woman & flowers on the front. The color is black, with signatures of Garcia-Borromeo. These were printed by the U.S. Bureau of Printing and Engraving (USBEP) while the Philippines was a colony of the USA. This scare issue was printed and prepared for the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), which still exists today. Many of these notes did not survive circulation in the wet, tropical environment of the Philippines. Many were lost while the Philippines was under Japanese occupation during WW2. This note has been circulated but is still in good shape. It has writing on the front and back. It also has a paper clip rust stain and small edge notch on the front, left side (see 3rd photo). When held up to the light, I do not see any pin holes. Without this writing, rust stain, and notch, I would grade it VF.
