Description: This is a Limited Edition print. Numbers will vary. Print sizes are 18x24" and printed on heavy museum paper. Pilot Robert Morgan has autographed each print with a soft graphic pencil. Sorry about the signature of the bomber pilot. He wrote like a doctor, unable to read most of his stuff. Go and look at other items signed by Robert Morgan on the internet. He signs his name the same. Was the bathing suit of the girl under the pilot painted "Blue" or "Red?" At first... Both sides had the girls bathing suit in "Red." The bathing suit under the pilot was re-painted "Blue" after some combat damage. During the repairs the ground crewman by-chance painted the new "Belle" a different color. I have a color photograph of the girl under the pilot wearing a red suit. After Robert Morgan flew his twenty-five missions over Europe, he then went to fly another twenty-five missions over Japan in the B-29. Morgan told me that he did not like the Military. He only joined to fly the bombers. Robert was indeed a very good bomber pilot because he had to fly his Boeing into combat no matter how bad it was, and he had to fly level and stable so his gunners could shoot down enemy aircraft. They were credited with defending their bomber with many enemies in flames. And NO ONE in the crew was injured which was radical! I talked to SO many men who were in So many crews that were chopped up by enemy gunfire. So very many men died at 35,000 feet defending their bomber. SO many pilots and co-pilots died at their controls.IN FACT! Over fifty thousand American Airmen died in the air over Europe! Did you know that?MANY fell to their deaths while still alive!I am an aviation artist and a historian. I have personally worked with and interviewed over one hundred of our greatest aviators from France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States. I worked with Navy, Air Force and Marine Aces including three Medal of Honor winners.I was so very lucky to have met and worked with so many American aviators who were my Heroes when I was in the fifth and sixth grade! I have lived my dream! I have!I started this series of Aviation to tell the story of a famous aviator and how he became famous with artwork of his aircraft and a short story of his adventures.Plus; This is a RARE signature! This man has signed other prints and yet you must remember...Robert Morgan flew 25 missions over Europe all while the Germens were trying to shoot him down and then he went to fly 25 missions over Japan where he received the same from enemy aircraft and gunners on the ground! Robert Morgan has signed other prints, but my print tells his story. People buy my prints and hang them next to a Robert Taylor artwork of the Memphis Belle because my print tells the story. In my series I have rare signatures that are worth more than the art. So, if you combine my art with signatures of Famous Men and Women, then we HAVE a wonderful series of VERY FAMOUS AVIATORS!My artworks are classified as being "Historical Documents" because the aviators approved my artwork and my stories and finally, they autographed each print in pencil with their approval. Some people collect my artwork for the signatures! YOU may not realize how famous these men and women are that I worked with...THESE people ARE HISTORY!The machine that published the prints you buy from me is the size of a city bus. The publishing machines I have my artwork published on have large rollers of yellow, blue and green paint where the paper goes through each one. My artworks are printed on 100-pound acid free museum paper. At your service; Sir Ernie Hamilton Boyette
