Description: (Ungraded) authentic Half-Real (1/2 Real denomination) Spanish-Colonial Era Silver cob coin, minted in 17th or 18th century (1600s or 1700s) From unidentified source/wreck (post-hurricane beach find. The coin is mounted in a custom, handmade bezel pendant setting, constructed of Sterling Silver (925). The pendant is open on both sides, making it reversible, if desired. The almost perfectly square shape of this example cob is uncommon, often the result of a larger coin having been clipped down but this appears to have been left the mint in this original shape from the beginning.
