Description: Keokuk is a form of chert found in Oklahoma that has been used by southern plains natives since 12,000 years ago. Quarries about 40 feet across, and dug down about 5 feet have been found not far from Tulsa. The stone is relatively easy to work and would have been used extensively in the south central region of North America. The Cheyenne, Arapaho, Pawnee and Kickapoo are a few of the tribes from this region, and would have used this stone.Slender, 2.44 inch, e-notched point suitable for bow fishing. 3-69This is an authentic Hensel point.
