Description: *****Keep in mind, at our store you are buying sealed records/promo records/Unplayed/unused promo records/lightly used personal records that came directly from A&M, Polygram/Vertigo record label. We are not thrift store cowboys/cowgirls that are buying other peoples junk to sell. We know the history of our items, everything has been properly stored/looked after with care, sanitized/cleaned/no fingerprints/smudges lol. Buying sealed records from thrift store/yard sale flippers is so risky. Where has the vinyl been? Has the vinyl been exposed to heat, cold, stored properly to prevent the record from warping.***** Hello, and thank you for viewing our listing. I know, these LPs are so cool and a must have for any Audiophile series collecto. I worked for Polydor/Vertigo Canada for 12 years, and my other half worked for A&M Records Canada. I acquired a few copies of these while working for the company , and many other LPs. This is an PROMO album directly from A&M Canada from 44 years ago. ******There is a faint line on one side of the record from a sleeve rub as many LPs were stacked on our desks back in the day****** I have only dropped the needle where the line is to ensure that there is no audio interference, and there is none ;). Otherwise, the vinyl is brand new. The cover is as new as the day it was released with just a couple corner bumps. The cover is fresh and crisp. This record has been stored in a plastic protective sleeve since the day I brought these home. This is a real time capsule! Enjoy! Audiophile Series A&M Records Promo Vinyl LP Unplayed Rare!! Supertramp. I own all the Audiophile series in my personal collection. These were the real deal made in Japan with half-speed mastering. I wish that I could say this about all the North American Half-Speed Mastering records. I think that they were a cash cow marketing idea that really weren't done like the Japanese do. Enjoy! Oh, this one is really about what's in the inside ;) A&M Audiophile Series. The Canadian series was introduced in 1978. These were half-speed masters pressed on virgin vinyl in Japan, which were imported and then packaged in Canada. Audiophile Series Introduction: The Audiophile process produces a superb master from which this record is manufactured on the purest possible anti-static vinyl. The cutting of the master from the original stereo tapes is performed at half the normal speed, the velocity of the cutting stylus being dramatically reduced results in a more faithful cutting of heavily modulated passages and the general extension of the frequency range. A&M Records' Audiophile Series provides extremely high fidelity sound reproduction, remarkably clear and distinct, virtually free of surface and background noise.
