Sometimes incorrectly called also Blue Onyx as well as Blue Calcite, this beautiful mineral is neither Calcite, nor Onyx, but a Chalcedony based Agate, which is a form of Quartz, only found in Argentine, and first discovered in 2009. Wonderful blue colouration with lovely banding patterns. Understandably, because this stone found in one place in the world, there aren’t huge amounts of it left. The stone has an incredible, mysterious, ethereal feel to it. It carries all of the elements except fire, because it calls out our fire from within.
