One of the widest Ive ever seen for these hand woven textiles! ~ ( 25.5 inches wide! ) A lovely cotton and linen blend, this bolt of antique, European hand-woven linen dates from the late 1800s and was dyed the wonderful dusty, gray blue tone half way between blue and gray! ~*~ This was dyed in Europe on the antique linen ~ This is a linen and cotton blend bolt, with a lovely textured weave! Its a nice dense weave, making it a heavy weight ~ ~ Back when this fabric was woven, this bolt was used as clothing and sheeting and has a finer weave, heavy weight and very very durable!! I Ideal for upholstery, table runners, scarves (I have made a few just by cutting a length and draping it around my neck, GORGEOUS), etc. This fabric can be machine washed and tumbled dry. The dye is a modern hot water dye. These antique linens are so amazing. It took the average weaver an entire night to weave only 21 inches ! The work put into these essentials was amazing. And thats after growing the plants, retting and spinning ~ We are so lucky to have these treasures ~*~ *~ MEASUREMENTS : This bolt measures approximately 4 yards long by 25.5 inches wide. CONDITION: This fabric is in as found condition not freshly laundered ~*~There are some dye imperfections in this bolt in places ~ The end of the bolt ( The very end of the bolt was once taped, so there is a tape mark on the very end on one side ~ Generally lovely but not without the signs of time and use inherent in these magical antique textiles! ~*~ ~~*~ ~*~ EL 621
