Im going to say its in Kentucky not Nova Scotia because Miss Elizabeth has kin named Vernie and that sounds southern to me. There is a hand written letter that accompanies this - its cursive - and a bit hard to read at moments. The sampler measures 9.5 inches by 8 inches, the frame is 13 by 11 inches. Definitely enough information present between the sampler and letter from Alice M Cassidy to go down a deep rabbithole of investigation.
