The item is American in origin, from Nantucket. The item measures in total about 14 inches high with the handle up (it is about 7.5 inches high for the basket portion alone), it measures about 12 inches in diameter from side to side across the open top. The basket is sold in as found as is estate condition. The basket has some losses to the woven cane, some wood splits from age and some other signs of wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
