Description: This is a wonderful and lovely Antique Mid Century Modern Asian Filipino Oil Painting on canvas, depicting a young traditionally dressed Mexican woman with her two children. The mother appears to be holding a string of yarn, while her infant sleeps and a younger child peers back in her direction. They all rest upon the stoop of a traditional home, with a thatched roof and coconuts hanging in a net from the awning. This painting is signed: “E. Ahumada” in the lower right corner, I could not find much information on the painter but perhaps you recognize the artist? This work shows signs of age, and approximately dates to the 1950’s - 1960’s This painting is in good condition, with a few areas of light craquelure from age (please see photos.)
