Description: Antique French Louis XVI Gilded Bronze Furniture Decoration Set, Stamped, 3 pcs This antique French set of three gilded bronze furniture decorations in the Louis XVI style is composed of three pieces designed with shell and laurel motifs. Exquisitely crafted, these pieces have holes for hanging. Two pieces are stamped on the back with the foundry's maker’s name, “G. Joffroy”. All three are in very good condition with a lovely aged patina. Please note that these pieces are antique and exhibit some slight foundry cracks which are normal irregularities of the “lost wax” process of molding bronze. There are also some slight imperfections and other signs of normal use and wear due to their great age. Please refer to the detailed photos on this page. These lovely and authentically antique pieces would be excellent objects displayed on a wall or as decorations on a piece of furniture.
