This luxuriously-appointed lamp features an original Fleur de Pecher mauve and beige marble cassolette-shaped carved urn, wired as a lamp, lavishly mounted with gilt ormolu mounts in the Neoclassical Louis XVI style. The cassolette rests on a pedestal marble base with beveled edge, supported by an ormolu footed sub-base. The lamp features solid brass hardware with double candelabra-sized cluster and flame finial, with gold rayon silk-wrapped cord with in-line switch. Marbled on the underside "Made in France". This handsome lamp will add old world grandeur and elegance to any fine interior.The lamp presents well and is in very good antique condition, with minor display wear and patina commensurate with age. The marble has minor wear, scuffing, and a few carving imperfections/minor surface flakes. The ormolu and hardware both have minor wear, tarnish, and patina - one handle is attached but slightly loose. Lamp is in working condition. Please review all photos before purchasing.
