Description: This is a very interesting old antique telephone. It appears to be "complete" with the internal telephone workings, and the side-mounted cranking mechanism spins with just a little resistance...which I would believe to be normal as internal parts are coming into contact to create the connection. There is one "complete" handset with an earpiece and a mouthpiece. There is also a secondary earpiece as shown in the photos so a second person can listen in on a telephone call. The only missing parts that I am aware of are two screws that hold the earpiece to the handset (see photos of taped area on earpiece). It appears to me that someone might take the two similar/identical (?) screws from the secondary earpiece and put those on the primary earpiece...and then find two similar screws to replace the two "borrowed" screws on the secondary earpiece. This is a cool old French phone that presents well. It is a fun, unusual display piece and might, in the right person's hands, be restored to working order. I am NOT that person. I am also NOT an expert in the topic of old phones. Please do your research prior to bidding. Also, please review all photos as they are an integral part of the description of this item.
