Description: This very nice antique Chinese/Asian rice bucket measures 10” across x 6 1/2” deep. This nice bucket is all dovetailed construction with metal edging and original metal straps to reinforce it. Each side has a Chinese mark which I believe is a signature. On the bottom is remnants of an export wax seal that I can still make out - it says Customs Peru - in the wax. Export seals were used after 1911 and the seal is called jianding. Bucket has a wood handle that has a metal strip across the top. Overall condition is good to very good with the beautiful patina and minor staining on the inside.
