Description: This is a truly stunning antique c1920s French ceiling light shade. Beautiful moulded amber coloured glass with decorative birds and Ivy vines relief, reflect both the influence of Art Nouveau nature designs within a geometric Deco style bowl. Manufactured by 'Roba of Paris' featuring the makers mark in the glass form. Original bulb holder and original ornate tin plate French hanging rose. The chain allows for a cable to run down the inside and be wired into the bulb holder. Alternatively the bulb holder can be removed and a pendant light hung through the middle. Condition: This shade is totally original and unrestored to keep its authenticity, therefore will require some simple electrical rewiring and likely a modern earthed bulb holder to conform to modern regulations. Antique glass shows some normal manufacturing bubbles and imperfections on close inspection, including a small bite on the inside of the rim edge and very small marks as pictured.
