Description: Signed: “Jemima Rowe’s Sampler October 1977” Approximately 18” x 11”. Thread is very faded and worn away in spots. Material is dark brown now but I’m unsure if that is the original color. Sampler has some major deterioration spots, stains, and what appears to be small mold spots. I tried to capture everything in the pictures. Framed by BARTON & LONG of Bristol. Frame appears to still be sealed. Top alphabet is missing the “J” according to traditional latin, but does contain “U” and “V”. Text uses a mix of modern and printers “s” which looks like our modern “f”. Because of this, the first line reads “There is far more fatisfaction in doing then..”. Sampler will be shipped in the frame unless buyer prefers it be removed first. Shipped in large box to accommodate extra packing material. Comes from nonsmoking home. Thanks for looking! Please message me with any questions. We purchased it from an auction several years ago and I don’t know much about it, but I am happy to provide as much information as possible.
