A pre-printed pocketbook diary (approx 6''x4'') with chronological entries starting on Sun, 1., Thursday, January 1888. The dairy is in good condition for its age. No missing pages, binding is tight. There is significant damage to the brown linen cover/board (see photos); however, the pages are clean, and the writing (in pencil) is mostly legible. The author's name is handwritten in pen on the pastedown page. Please note that there is significant writing on the pastedown as well as the end sheet. A lovely piece of Americana.
