Description: This engine belonged to me and I have had if for MANY years. I was an AF collector and not an operator other than occasional use on the floor for holidays. PRR Pacific #312 AC is in superb condition with nothing missing or broken except the colored marker lenses. This has been sitting in a glass medicine cabinet for over a decade collecting dust. I have not run this in at least ten years, I dont have a complete oval anymore but I did put power to the terminals and all this did was click and hum loudly. This engine will need a full tear down and cleaning if you want to operate it. All the original decaling looks fresh and complete, I have not cleaned this so it is dusty and the side rods need polishing. The underside of the loco is almost spotless, there is no scraping along the chassis where the pilot and guide truck has rubbed on the frame with lots of use. Almost all the original paint and bluing is still intact. The drivers are very clean with no worn out flanges, the center drivers have most of the black finish not worn from uneven trackwork. The white insulators have yellowed with age. The bottom of the tender trucks and trailing truck frames are 100% complete without the nicks and heavy wear from running through switches and accessories. The pilot is perfectly straight so this was never dropped or abused. I only collected the very best engines I could find. With a bit of cleaning and maintenance this can be a super fresh engine with its whole life ahead of it and ready to pull your heavy passenger express. I have traded and collected trains for decades so I know how to safely pack this for shipping.
