There is little to no wear to the book's cover- The gold gilt on the spine is 100% present & still bright but doesn't show up well in photos-There is NO Writing, Underlining or highlighting anywhere in the book!!! The internal pages are clean & still bright. The page edges do show some yellowing which is common for books of this age & the paper used-It is RARE to find a 1944 1st Edition 5th Printing in this good of condition. The book comes with the Original Dust Jacket in Very Good++ Condition With Some Edge Wear & several small pieces missing mainly at the top of the spine of the jacket as shown in photos & the Jacket is now in a Mylar Protectror!!!
