This is the only card reader that appears stock, and actually improves the classic look of the 2000xl, in my opinion. Unlike other kits, the mounting holes come pre-drilled and tapped. Mounting screws are included. Simple, detailed instructions guide you through each step for a worry free installation. Includes an exclusive collection of 20 1970s and ‘80s Boss and Roland drum machine sample packs. Each sample pack includes a .PGM file that maps the sounds across the pads of your MPC (some kits use multiple banks). This collection is not for sale anywhere else; it only comes with this kit. This collection includes several hundred sounds, but uses a mere 17mb of space on the included 1gb card. Includes: Addonics card reader, 1gb Sandisk Compact Flash card, OS 1.20 floppy disk, cables, mounting screws, and installation instructions. Unlike the imitators, which are very picky about which cards will work, the Addonics will work with the vast majority of name brand compact flash cards, such as those by SanDisk, Kingston, Transcend, PNY, Lexar and others. I cannot guarantee every card will work, but the only one that hasn’t worked for me was a generic card I ordered from China. I can provide OS 1.20 on a CD-ROM instead of the floppy at no extra charge, or a ZIP disk for a $10 upcharge, on request. The Addonics logo is just a sticker that can be easily peeled off if you prefer. The included 1gb compact flash card is pre-owned. MPC not included.
