Description: Pictured is an original 1941 lobby card from the Metro-Golden-Mayer movie, "A Woman's Face" starring Joan Crawford, Melvyn Douglas and Conrad Veidt. This is an authentic U.S. lobby card - not a reproduction or poster print. The story is about a woman (Joan Crawford) who, as a child, had her face disfigured in a fire. She has turned to a life of petty thievery and blackmail. After being caught in the act by a famous surgeon (Melvyn Douglas), he restores her looks with many operations. She had previously fallen in love with an evil man (Conrad Veidt) who is plotting the murder of his little nephew in order to gain an inheritance. He expects Crawford to carry out the evil deed. In the mean time, Crawford has developed feelings for the little boy and is also falling for the good doctor. In the end, she is accused of a murder and all is resolved at her trial. I won't divulge who is killed and if our lady is truly evil (you have to watch the movie). The lobby card is in good to very good condition. It has a staple mark in the judge's hair line and a pin hole in the door frame. There is also a pin hole at the lower right corner which has a small vertical tear to the edge and a 1/2" tear at the top right edge. The top edge also has 3 tiny stains (possibly ink). At the bottom left is a shoe mark and on the back there is pencil writing that does not show through. There is no tape on the front or back and no missing paper. The colors are vibrant and the card is all original with no restorations. Please see pictures
