Description: Last month I was moving a client of mine. I have done previous work for them and used to refer to this giraffe as “jaffy”. I have moved jaffy four or five times now. Sadly when my clients first bought jaffy his antler was broken when he was shipped. They had kept the piece but never got him fixed. Overtime the piece was lost. So jaffy has a boo boo, but still you can see the craftsmanship that was put into this statue. This looks like one large piece of wood. The color, the carving and the detail truly makes the a conversation piece. I was joking about taking jaffy home with me and my clients insisted that I do so. I moved them down to North Carolina and they simply had no room for him. I told them I would list jaffy and find him a good home. They bought this piece in the 1980’s and paid a lot of money for it back then. They used to live in Brazil and told me that he was purchased there from a local artist. I see no signature or identification mark. I also have not found anything else like this on the internet as far as the size goes. I figure if your good with wood you could fix the antler and make jaffy hole again. Lately it seems that every job I do, my clients have been providing me with items they either no longer need, want or have room for. My reputation as a mover has always been very good, but my eBay store reputation is growing rather quickly. I literally get calls from clients asking me if I would be interested in selling things for them. I am so grateful to be offered these belongings. I get a little bit of everything.
