Description: 37 Vermont Record Newspaper 1864 Civil War Lincoln Assassination Norman Williams. This was a weekly paper printed in Brattleboro, Vermont. The name Norman Williams, whom the Woodstock Public Library is named for, is handwritten on many copies, this would indicate that he was the subscriber that these were delivered to. Included are Number 1, number 3-24, 29, 32-41, 44-46. The condition varies. Some have faded, some have darkened and been stained. I counted 3 with smaller bite like tears and one with a much bigger area of loss. Being a weekly paper published on a Saturday the Lincoln assassination was “old news” so to speak, by the time it was covered in this paper. That edition has considerable fading, quite honestly it looks better in the photos than in real life. Please view all 24 photos to help judge condition. Insurance and signature confirmation included in domestic shipping charges.
