Mookaite is a locally coined name for this silicified porcelanite which is normally found in the Lower Cretaceous siltstone that lies over much of the Carnarvon Basin in Western Australia. This is a recent find from Morocco, perhaps the first major find of Mookaite outside of Australia. It features similar patterns and coloration to Australian Mookaite. Australian Aborigines consider the stone to be a healing stone that bestows strength. The heart is hand polished for a smooth finish around the stone.
