Description: This is a set of two framed hand-colored engravings dating from between 1790 and 1825. They are images of children making them extra sweet. I know that they have been in the same frames since at least 1950 and suspect they are original frames. The first is "Off to School" By Thomas Stothard. In small type at the bottom of the colored image it says "Stothard, Deln." and "C. Knight, Scupt." The second is called "The Fifth of November" which is Guy Fawkes Day in England. In small type at the bottom of the colored image it says "T. Stothard delin" and "C. Knight Sculpt" Also at the very bottom of the paper it says "London Publ Jan 1 1790 by J I Tomkins No 15 New Bond St" From what I can find online, "the fifth of November" is being sold from $395-$50. "Off to School" is selling for less. Feel free to email with any questions
