Description: 1983 Capitol Historical Society Medal Treaty of Paris Bicentennial Medal, MIB This is a 38 mm (1 ½ inch) in diameter, 25-gram (0.8 ounce) Bronze Art Medal issued in 1983 by the US Capitol Historical Society. The medal, Sculpted by Mico Kaufman, commemorates the Bicentennial of the 1783 Treaty of Paris, which ended the Revolutionary War. The obverse shows Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, and John Adams signing the treaty. The reverse shows a portion of the treaty superimposed over the outline of the original thirteen states. The medal was produced by the Medallic Arts Company (MACO) and is in MINT condition, in the box and holder, with the 20-page booklet-insert. The boxed medal weighs 95 grams (3.3 ounces).
