Dining Room of the Hidden House is set by the staff of the Historic New Orleans Collection for holiday season. Candlesticks on the table date to 1770, and the soup tureen is very interesting. It was made in 1816 by William Bateman, son of Hester Bateman, the first female to be a recognized silversmith in England. In the rear is a Gentelman's Linen Press, which has been made into display cabinet. The china is Royal Doulton. Flatware is Georgian. Photo measures 10 x 7.75 inches. Photo is dated 12-29-1979.
