The box still has the beautiful cedar wood smell. This box was presented to my family by the Standard Products Co., Port Clinton, Ohio U.A.W. when my father passed away. The bible has gilded gold page edges on all sides. The 10" x 7" x 3" cedar box is beautiful with brass hinges. There isn't a key but I'm not sure it came with one. The back side of the box has a local etched in black which reads "Brotherhood of Carpenters Union Made" 2.8#
