Description: The rare 1961 card from the "carbking" collection has some light wear to include stains and a small crease near the left center. The card measures roughly 4" x 3.25". Please review the pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card. The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company. The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945. Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500. These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products. This unnumbered card from the 10-card set features Wayne Weiler who was from Phoenix, Arizona. Weiler would drive in two Indianapolis 500's with a best finish of 15th in 1961. During his Championship career his best finish was a third at his home track in 1960. Weiler remained active in racing until he passed in 2005. Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
