Description: For sale is a vintage bow tie that was meant to be worn by fans of the Evansville College Purple Aces basketball team. It dates to the 1960s, when the Purple Aces of Evansville, Indiana, won three of their five college-division national basketball championships. This hard-to-find clip-on bow tie measures 4 1/2 by 7 inches and has never been removed from its original cardboard display card. It is in very good condition, with a few age spots on the tie and card. This would make a wonderful addition to any collection of Evansville memorabilia. See my listings for other vintage items.
