1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta

Description: For sale is my 1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint. It has been modified with a high performance two liter Alfa Romeo engine, a five speed Alfa Romeo transmission and front disc brakes. The suspension has Koni shocks at all four corners. A set of stiffer suspension springs is included but not installed. The stiffer springs have adjustable ride height collars on the front springs. The engine was fully rebuilt and modified by well known Alfa mechanic and restoration guru Kieth Goering at Alfas Unlimited. It has a Sperry stage 3 cylinder head, dual Weber 45 DCOE carbs, a Sperry valve works optically triggered high performance ignition system, a ceramic coated exhaust header, a lightened and balanced flywheel and clutch assembly, an Alfaholics gear reduction started motor and more. Overall this is a driver quality car with several performance minded modifications. This is not a perfect show car and there are many small cosmetic imperfections, but overall it is very presentable driver. The bodywork is very straight, however the gloss level of the paint job is average and there are some age related paint flaws such as scratches and a quarter sized spot on the roof with mirco-blisters. I purchased the car about 8 years ago and enjoyed it immensely until sidelined with a back injury which has prevented me from using it for the last three years and is the reason for the sale. I have only driven the car a handful of times in the past few years due to my back problems. The car is still in good mechanical condition and the rear brakes have just been rebuilt. Recent work includes replacing the rear suspension A-arm bushings with polyurethane (a big handling improvement), replacing the rear brake wheel cylinders and brake shoes, and fabrication of front inner fender splash shields. known issues: -Small oil leak from oil pan gasket. -No key for door handles or trunk -New heater valve, but cable not hooked up. Other notes: both trimmed drivers seats are included (original and sport) Drivers seat is fixed in position in order to keep the seat low in the car. Taller drivers will need to move it rearward by drilling new holes.Stiffer "racing" suspension springs are included and should be installed for heavy loads or very spirited driving. The only form of payment accepted for this car is a bank to bank wire transfer. No exceptions. The car is currently registered in my name in the state of Connecticut which does not issue titles for cars this old. The registration serves as ownership paperwork.
