Description: True vintage 1950's to early 1960's classic red jacquard weave dress for a special event. Condition is excellent with no flaws found. Original metal zipper works smoothly. Tailoring is exceptional. Gussets are found in each armhole, which is a 1940's - 1950's tailoring technique rarely seen. See photo. The fabric is a 3-season jacquard weave with a matte finish. Style is a fitted sheath with shaping at the waistline. A matching fabric bow sits just below the bustline. Dress is lined to hip level with a silky red fabric. Hem is finished with tape. There is a generous hem allowance of about 3". Dress has NOT been cleaned. It is pictured on a vintage mannequin which wears a modern size 2 and is about 5' 8" tall. The measurements of this dress are for about a modern size 4 and were taken lying flat. Please see photos and details above and compare to a dress which fits you well.
