1934-A $5 Silver Certificate "Mule" Note --VERY RARE VINTAGE CURRENCY!

Description: For sale is a very cool 1934-A $5 Silver Certificate "Mule" Note. Silver Certificates were a type of old currency where any person could take the Certificate into a Federal Reserve Bank and exchange the Certificate for the value of that denomination in silver. So if you have a $5 Silver Certificate, the bank would exchange it for $5 worth of silver. You could also spend it just like any other US bill. The seal and center "5" on the note is blue. Another unique thing about these 1934 notes is they did not yet include the motto "In God We Trust" like later notes did.Silver Certificates are always nice to have, but what puts this one over the top is it is a Mule Note, which is a more rare variety of Notes spanning back to when currency was first printed. Mule notes basically are notes where the plates used for printing the front and back of notes are mismatched. When they print currency just about the entire batches use the same plates for the front and back. But sometimes they have to change a plate for many reasons, such as damage to the plate, etc. When this happens the mismatched batches are called Mule Notes. With this particular note the plate on the back of the note should have a number of 939 and above. Any with plate numbers of 939 or below are Mule Notes. The plate number on the back of this note is 910, thus making it a Mule Note.As you can see from the pics this certificate is in good condition, and would be considered average circulated. The blue colors on the front and deep greens on the reverse are still very vibrant. The note has folds to it, but it has no rips, tears, or major stains.This is a great rare note to add to to any currency collection. Thanks!
