No markings around the edge: Artist Emil Zettlersaid in the brochure that accompanied the medal: "The youthful figure of strength, energy, and action represents the intellectual arch between nature's resources and man's work. From research and invention have come the great achievements of the century, 1833-1933. The extended arms of the figure praise the work of Science and Industry and their great benefits to humanity." This souvenir medal has a stunning mix of art deco and machine age styling. Diameter is 2 7/8". Condition is good with light wear and tarnish.
