In good condition. Light wear to extremities with scuffing along edges and corners. Spine label is chipped at lower corner. Joints abraded with desiccation, spine ends are chipped with minor loss. Surface of leather abraded overall with slight scratching. New end papers fresh and clean. Old hand notation on title page. Light toning throughout with scattered instances of foxing. Dampness staining slightly permeating the margins. Some leaves dog eared at corners, others are slightly chipped. Binding remains tight and intact. Free of known marginalia. Please see photos. Beck later became president of the Utica asylum and edited the American Journal of Insanity.
