Description: GREAT GROUP OF 13 RARE AUTHENTIC OKLAHOMA SOONERS FOOTBALL SEASON SCHEDULES With the OKLAHOMA SOONERS moving to the SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE this year, THESE OLD SCHEDULES SHOULD BECOME EVEN MORE COLLECTIBLE AND certainly MUCH HARDER TO FIND. BARGAIN PRICE. A GREAT GIFT: This auction is for the following THIRTEEN (13) AUTHENTIC, RARE AND HIGHLY DESIRABLE OKLAHOMA SOONERS FOOTBALL SEASON SCHEDULES: 1977, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2009 and 2010. Overall, these schedules are in good to excellent condition although some show fairly extensive signs of wear consistent with their age and use. PLEASE NOTE: SOME OF THESE ITEMS HAVE SCORES AND FAIRLY EXTENSIVE WRITING ON THEM. I will defer to the photographs for your further assessment as to the description and condition of these items. This great collection of Oklahoma Sooners season schedules covers a GREAT PERIOD of extremely historic and successful seasons for the Sooners’ program. These years were primarily UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF BARRY SWITZER & BOB STOOPS. Several outstanding Sooners’ players are featured on these schedules including: 1) The late “Zac Henderson, one of the most underrated OU football players of all time, died overnight Sunday/Monday (in 2020) at his home in Oklahoma City. He was 64. Henderson was a four-year starter at free safety and a 1977 unanimous all-American. The New York Athletic Club named Henderson college football’s defensive back of the year in ’77, in those days before the Jim Thorpe Award. Henderson had seven interceptions that season.” 2) The late “Rick Bryan who “From 1980 to 1983, Bryan was a dominant force on the Sooner defensive line. The three-time All-Big Eight player surpassed Lee Roy Selmon in his senior year for most career tackles by a lineman, with 365. Bryan was later selected 9th overall in the 1984 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons, where he spent nine seasons.” 3) “Spencer Tillman, an All-American running back at the University of Oklahoma (1983-86) who helped lead the Sooners to the 1985 national championship, was drafted by the Houston Oilers in the 1987 NFL Draft. He played eight seasons in the league, including with the Super Bowl XXIV champion San Francisco 49ers in 1989, where he was a team co-captain along with Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott. Before joining the 49ers, where he remained through the 1991 campaign, he played for the Oilers from 1987 to 1988. In 1992, Tillman returned to Houston, where he played through his final season in 1994.” 4) “A former nose guard, Tony Casillas won the 1985 Lombardi Award as the nation's top lineman in college football. The Sooners won the national title that same year. Casillas was the No. 2 overall pick in the 1986 NFL Draft, played 13 seasons, twice was named All-Pro and won back-to-back Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys in 1992 and 1993. He was a two-time consensus All-American, UPI's national lineman of the year, the Big Eight defensive player of the year, and the National Football Foundation selected him College Defensive Player of the Decade for the 1980s.” 5) Brian Bosworth: “A two-time Dick Butkus Award winner during his college football career at Oklahoma, he also achieved notoriety for his outspoken comments and antics. Bosworth was selected by the Seahawks in the first round of the 1987 NFL supplemental draft, but his professional career was cut short by injury. After retiring as a player, Bosworth pursued an acting career. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.” 6) “Keith Jackson attended and was graduated with academic honors and a B.A. in Communications in three and a half years from the University of Oklahoma (1984-1988). He attended school on a football scholarship as a tight end where he assisted the Sooners to a 42-5-1 record and a national championship in 1985. Keith was selected three times to the All-Big Eight team and named two-time Athletic All-American. In 1988, the Philadelphia Eagles selected Keith as the thirteenth pick of the first round in the National Football League draft. Keith made an immediate impact on the Eagles' team and the N.F.L. during his rookie season. Keith was the N.F.C. offensive rookie of the year and the only first-year player to be selected by the N.F.L. for the Pro Bowl. He played nine seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Miami Dolphins, and Green Bay Packers, where he assisted Packers to a 16-3 record and a win in Super Bowl XXXI in 1996.” During the many years these items have been in my possession, they have been stored in dark, dry and airtight conditions, which I believe helps account for their overall GOOD TO EXCELLENT condition at this time. I have always taken great pride in my collection, so most all of my items are in GREAT shape and have been very carefully taken care of in clean, smoke and pet free, climate controlled conditions.
