Although the crowns are small, the Bocking 14 plant is a very vigorous growing variety. The root crown will start to grow very soon. This very beautiful plant will put out a very nice looking purple violet flower once mature. An amazingnutrient accumulator. Its leaves are more potent than kelp. Although this plant is a very vigorous grower, no need to worry about it overtaking your garden since this comfrey variety does not produce viable seeds, and only spreads through it's roots.
